World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA): WBA Financial System Benchmark Methodology Launch
Delilah Rothenberg hosted the virtual launch of WBA’s Financial System Transformation Benchmark Methodology.
WBA’s Financial System Benchmark will assess and rank the performance of the world’s 400 most influential financial institutions – including asset owners, asset managers, banks, and insurance companies – on their readiness to contribute to the transition towards a more inclusive and sustainable future.
The Financial System Benchmark methodology is a result of an extensive, two-year long multi-stakeholder process – including a public consultation on the draft methodology launched earlier this year – and builds upon existing targets and frameworks to reflect societal expectations of the financial system in achieving the Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals. It assesses financial institutions on 32 indicators across three measurement areas: governance and strategy, respecting planetary boundaries, and adhering to societal conventions.
